MDI’s Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Diagnosis & Return to Work Policy
MDI’s coronavirus policy applies to all our employees who physically work in our office.
With the spread of Covid-19 in the Greenville, SC area, we realize MDI may have more employees affected by the virus. You are encouraged to follow good hygiene habits by washing your hands frequently and to maintain the 6 ft. social distancing practice. High contact surfaces will continue to be cleaned daily. This will help sustain a healthy and safe workplace for all of us. It is important that we all respond responsibly to these health precautions. We assure you that we will always treat your private health and personal data with high confidentiality and sensitivity.
MDI’s coronavirus (COVID-19) return-to-work policy is based on current CDC guidelines and susceptible to changes with the introduction of additional governmental recommendations.
MDI will continue to conduct temperature checks upon arrival at the workplace daily and once during the workday. If you are running a fever, you will be sent home and asked to quarantine for 10 days if you suspect or are diagnosed with COVID-19. It is possible to work from home during this time as your health permits and must be approved by your supervisor. Working hours will be limited to 40 regular hours during the work week when working from home.
MDI will use current Symptom-based CDC guidelines for returning to work. Self-quarantine can be discontinued under the following conditions:
At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g.cough,shortness of breath);and,
At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
